assalamlaikum,

inshallah everything will be fine with ur daughter. i am praying for ur daughter inshallah verysoon she will be in good health and ur husband will be with u.

Thank you for the words of encouragement everybody... that means more to me than you can imagine right now...

We are going to contact my senator on Monday... we have received teh scans of my daughters cyst and it's very very large.. it is most of the left side of her head and wraps around to teh back and is also a large one in the back of her head. The Neurosurgeons don't want to operate right at the moment due to the swelling in her head so they ahve given her medication to lessen the swelling and she is still on two kinds of migraine medications but still has headaches with those. The danger is if they operate she may bleed out in the brain creating a bigger problem. However, if she can remain stable for a little while we can be very methodical in what to do next... we will have to do something as it is pressing on her optic nerves.

I have her medical records and about 10 views of the cyst so it's very easy to see even if you're not a doctor. It shows clearly the cyst pressing the brain to one side of her head and shows where their location is very clearly as well as the size of them.

I have no clue as to whether this will help us or not. The senator basically said it can't hurt to try and if it doesn't finish the AP then at least when we are finished the visa should be issued within a day or two of printing instead of several weeks later as sometimes happens.

Just wondering if anybody ever had any experience with this... I remember one of our members did with his wife's visa as he suffered health issues and got the Defense dpt involved but he was also military.

I don't want to jump ahead of anybody but if my daughter has this surgery and bleeds out... i'll be completely broken and without my husband here i can't imagine what I would be feeling.. i'm already depressed and struggling I can't watch my daughter suffer and not hold my husbands hand...

Dear ALLAH help us!!!

Thank you khan37 Emran+Farah and BerryNRocco... I want my daughter to be ok but I really need my husband home now... We never minded the security checks we never minded the AP and waiting but now at almost a year after the interview it feels like they have forgotten about us. Even tho we have the congressman and senator both making inquireis about every 5-6 weeks it still feels hopeless at this point... We simply fell in love.. and just want a life together... a family of our own.. and quite frankly while I like seeing the approvals it hurts so much to see k1 approvals go so fast when my husband and I have committed our life together and hve made a vow to be husband and wife til the end of time and yet are still having to wait to live together in one home. There are those who think its so easy to jus pack up and leave here.. well.. when you have small children you cant take from the country you can't.. and especially now with my daughter having issues with this brain cyst.. its HUGE.. and when I say huge i dont mean big i mean HUGEEEE Ill show you a scan of it when i cross out her information from it...She needs to stay here in case she needs brain surgery and i shouldn't have to choose between my husband the love of my life and soul mate and the health of my daughter or leaving them here with a bi polar ex husband who doesnt care enough to even call about her health.

Sorry for venting... just needed to get that off my chest... thanks for the love and support of this group!!!!! Inshallah things will be well soon!

Eabbas hope your daughter gets well soon inshallah. My prayers are with her. I picked up my passport yesterday from the embassy and had my visa stamped. AP wait time for me was exactly 2.5 months. Thanks for all the tips you gave us. I will pray that your husband's visa gets issued soon......

this is the replay to our lawyer inquiry

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your client's case continues to undergo administrative processing, a normal part of the Immigrant Visa application procedure that can be neither expedited nor waived. While we understand your concern at the delay in this case, we note that we advise our applicants that administrative processing takes approximately six months on average, meaning that some cases may take more time. Your client's case is one of the cases for which processing time exceeds the average.

We hope that this information is helpful to you in responding to you client.

That's almost the very same response we seem to get too... very vague won't say anything but its part of normal processing and takes time. Very frustrating... :(

Thank you RealAl.... Inshallah she will be better with all the prayers and the treatments.

As for our tracker... it's very frustrating to not see any movement in anyone's case and i can't help but be over burdened in my heart for that... hopefully the next few days and next week will see something good!!!! Inshallah!

Congrats. I will most likely have to do the same thing. I have already wasted 3.5 years on a K1 for them to use the excuse it Expired. That is bureaucracy at it's finest and it was unjust and grossly unfair. I have contacted a Lawyer who has submitted a request via Legalnet.com for them to investigate. Additionally I am seeking the help of the Senator. I have little faith that either will be successful at persuading the ISL Consulate to reconsider. This means starting over with a K1 or getting married and hope they approve that. I believe I have seen some examples on here where even though they married they were still denied. I wanted to get married in the US so my family and friends could attend but I guess that is out of the question now. And I just want to say that what they are making the EAbbas family go through is criminal and I am sorry for that and I pray for you every day.
