I dont know what happend....

Don't take too much stress it could be absolutely anything... it could be they denied it of cos... but it could also be they need something else from you and it would create additional time so they didnt want to hold onto your passport...is your passport close to expiring? if there isn't 6 months left on it to travel they won't put the visa in it. They will return it to ask for a new passport.

Just stay positive that its something that can be overcome... Truly best of luck to you

Medical submit :07 March 2012 Result :Administrative Processing

3rd Medical submit :28th Feb 2013 Result Administrative Processing

4th Medical submit :26th Feb 2014 Result :Got email reply from embassy that they will call me for finger prints and oath ..and still waiting Got call for finger prints and oath

on 12th MAY Went for finger prints and oath :21th May Result :ApprovedVisa Issued :22.05.2014

I dont know what happend....

Call Islamabad or State department and try to find out if they have send your case back to U.S or still in Islamabad ? if they have send back that means evidence you provided were not sufficient and they have sent case back to further investigation.

They did same with us when we filed K1 and they sent back my passport without stamped and on phone they told me that they are in doubt that we are married not engaged only, so file marriage visa instead k1.

01/05/2012 UPDATED CASE STATUS...On January 5, 2012, we received your response to our request for evidence.
02/07/2012 NOA2 I-130 APPROVED

06/272012 DENIED AT THE INTERVIEW 212(A)(5a) ***this code is incorrect*** We have no idea why they denied the visa!

APPEAL PROCESS
08/29/2012 File received back at NVC Embassy and forwarded to CSC
09/10/2012 Received a NOA 1 & Text Message that file was sent to California Service Center where they will make a decision on our case.

05/29/2013 Reaffirmed by USCIS without any appeal process

07/02/2013 The Embassy called my husband for packet 3.

07/11/2013 My husband sent in packed 3

07/17/2013 Embassy refused our case yet again without an Interview and set our file back to NVC

07/20/2013 NVC returned out file to USCIS

09/29/2013 To date USCIS has not entered our case back into the system and no one knows where it is!

Amex called and passport is ready to be picked up Monday. Really this is going faster than expected.

Im really happy for you... I really do wish you the best and stay happy always and blessed!!! ... i also wish those that have been on this AP for the last year would also see some relief from it Inshallah something soon for us!!!...

today i pick my passport from Amex office they send 1 letter with passport that we r sending u ur passport ur request but i request for my passport 1 year ago ...

I still have my passport embassy told me when my visa will be ready they will ask me for passport as i am out of country in dubai.

If keeping passport is no use of you, you can send them back or you can wait until they need it they will ask you but inform them if don't send them and want them to ask you for.
