hey guys, hope everyone is holding up well...Each and everyone of you going through this process are in my prayers, my husband's case is still also in AP since december and thats all I can get out of them. Don't know if its mandatory or whatever but I am going to Pakistan next week to visit him. My question was, do you think it will make a difference if I visit the embassy and see if I can talk to the CO or something? I honestly feel like nothing is in my power anymore, but if you guys have any ideas please do let me know. God Bless!

I went on the embassy's website to schedule an appointment but all the dates are greyed out. I am also going to Pakistan May 16th and is thinking about calling the embassy and setting up an appoint for my wife and I. So to answer your question I do not think it is bad idea. Good Luck...

One of our members tried to get into the embassy to talk to someone and they wouldn't let her ... they didn't acknowledge her emails or anything and basically told her no on the phone.. so what she had to do was to send them information she was there in pakistan at the time.

The one thing you must remember is not to push them so hard to make a decision when they aren't ready to do so (like if the name checks aren't back and your saying to decide right now... well they can't then allow that person in because the checks were not completed) ... by pushing them into a decision it could mean a denial. However staying on top of your case is something completely different. Just be careful when you do go to the embassy and make an inquiry but don't demand an answer just remain curteous and keep your temper in tact and just let them know how much you want your SO with you.. otherwise it may be the opposite affect of what your hoping.

Good luck

Can you tell me what information she sent the embassy and also how she forwarded that info. Thanks

i think she made copies of her passport and boarding tickets etc... more info that she was there and scanned it and emailed it to them along with the emails requesting to be seen by someone at the embassy. They did respond they received her documents and thanked her but that was it. But again.. it was proof that she was there and tried to talk to someone as well as visiting her husband.

My husband has been in AP for 9 1/2 months and my heart has been aching so much today, more so than other days. I even cried at work but reading this thread and looking at the updated AP tracker gave me such a joy. It's so good to know there is positive news coming from Islamabad. Many Congratulations to those who have received their Visas and my prayers are with those still waiting. Inshallah we'll hear a good news in the near future.

awww dear... i know how you feel... completely broken some days and others i bask in the warmth of my husbands love and our marriage... this whole process is just confusing and so very inconsistent... we suffer for those that broke the rules or married and gained their visas with the wrong intentions.. when we are just simply wanting our lives complete with our spouses and loved ones...

Don't worry... Inshallah soon our happy ever after WILL be ours to claim!!!!!!

That's completely your decision.... I would think that getting into canada for a pakistani male would also be somewhat difficult.. maybe not as bad as the us but it does border the us and it would still take time.

I know how you feel believe me... all we want too is to be together and start our family too but we keep looking and realizing the big time is behind us so we only have a smaller time now to wait....and to do something like that would almost start the whole process all over...

If it were us, i wouldn't do it... just be patient you haven't been denied, or your case sent back, or other issues.... its just checks... let them finish them and then get your ticket bcos you will be with your wife...

But again... it is your decision... and your life... and i pray you find peace in whatever you decide to do... Inshallah our time really is coming have faith!!!!

Well called dos today and of course we are still pending last real update was march :( starting crying badly but the rep was so uncompassionate when I asked her if there is anything showing that we are almost finished after 11 months she said no its pending and basically hung up on me... Sat there and literally sobbed until I got sick

This is beginning to affect my health now and it's ao painful those that haven't endured what we have just simply don't understand but at least have empathy and compassion

I love my husband deeply as he does me I keep praying for hope and for this to end I know it's all In Allahs timing I just wish it didn't hurt so bad

I feel like we are forgotten like nobody cares anymore about us being together and starting our family

I hurt deeply and my heart is broken I see my husband every day and every night and je never leaves me if he's home were online all the time but I can't touch his hand I can't give him tea I can't see the real color of his eyes I hurt so bad there are no more words for this pain

I pray daily for all of us struggling and suffering thru this inshallah some day this will be but a memory
