Wife received phone call today. Your visa expires on December 9th, if we issue now can you travel before than? She said "yes". Does that mean visa has been approved?

Talk about short notice! Make sure you travel no later then the 8th .

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!

Congrats brother ....pray for us

Hey fellow Islamabad AP members, just wanted to drop by and say hi and remind everyone to stay strong and don't loose hope. I dissapered from here for a while in the process of bringing my fiance to USA. Yes she's here and I have to say leaving Pakistan with her was even more nerve wrecking then when she went to the embassy for her interview. I don't know about my fiance if she was nervous or not when she walked into the immigration line... funny thing is she beat me to the baggage clame.... it was such a relief to find her there before my family and I got there. Now its on to the next step of.getting married I think next Friday we will go tie the knott.... unless I can convince her its a terrable idea to marry me within a week.... believe me I tried my best to convince her otherwise in the time I got to spend with her in Pakistan. Maybe a Vegas wedding will he fun.... woohooo!Jk jk!

Well, we are officially out of AP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got the visa today in hand!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all for your support!!!!!!!!!!!! It took about 2 1/2 months for our internal AP at the embassy to clear! We were informed that our case remained at the embassy for investigation and never left Pakistan. Our congressman office made one call and I sent one email and called weekly. I am sure Allah alone was responsible for our short duration of AP. All of you still waiting will remain in our thoughts! We are praying for you daily!

hello all dear friends iam in AP in islamabad from last 2 months.iam the beneficary(male) and my wife is the petitioner USC.she was with me during the interview and she is still here with me.she is calling twice in a week to DOS and islamabad embassy, but still my case is AP.she emailed to isl embassy aswel and they replied very next day that,we dont need any thing from you,as your case is in PENDING AP.now i have 3 questions?

1)when we had interview we got blue refusal sheet 221(g),that states that we need to do additional administrative process, but now embassy is saying pending AP.any one know the difference between these two?

2)how do they inform us that our AP is over?by e-mail or phone call.

3)is it ok to call or contact to ISL embassy or DOS as much as we can?

if any one have idea please share with me...i will appreciate that.

thanks to all in advance...

The embassy will let you by phone once your AP has been completed. My wife and I call DOS once a week and the embassy every two weeks. We personally think that calling the embassy too often could delay our case. So my wife will ask the representative when she should call back. Best of luck.
