Hello Everyone,

I am curious about something . I want to know if what to do next after the approval of I-129F. Are we going to wait for the packet that USCIS sent to my fiance ? Also my fiancee forgot to keep a copy of the package (I-129F) and it was stated that we need to bring the whole package during the interview also. What are we going to do? Please enlightened my mind... Thanks!

You do not need a copy of the I-129F packet for the interview at the Embassy, having a copy is just for backup, it is not a requirement. Go to the Guides section of this website to read up on things.

it may not be a requirement for the beneficary to have a copy of the I-129f, but it is a good idea.

Yup, having a copy of the I-129F package is NOT REQUIRED, but it doesn't hurt to have it in case the beneficiary wants to look things up.

December 2009 -- Visit to Malaysia.

February 2010 -- Applied for B2 visa, approved.

March 2010 -- Visited US.

April 2010 -- Returned from US.

May 2010 -- Sent in K1 Visa application.

July 2010 -- Received NOA2 in 71 days from NOA1.

July 2010 -- Packet 3 received.

August 2010 -- Cancellation of K1 Visa application.

call the NVC to see if you have your MNL case number (603) 334-0700 (its option 1 a couple times, then option 5 to speak to operator - have the petitioner/beneficiary date of birth ready)

our petition was approved on 11/23, I called them and finally got my MNL # yesterday - they said they received my packet on Dec 6. The automated system is not accurate, speak to an operator.

EDIT: oh yea - I sent 5 lbs of paperwork to my fiancee, including the I-129F packet, RFE, and supporting documentation. It may not be necessary, but its better to be safe then sorry, I only want her going to the interview 1 time.
