I still find people here who haven't heard of Tim Horton's. I suppose that will always be the case. It makes me want to cry for them and question why I am their friend. Also, it just makes me want to cry, because I think about how to describe TH to someone who's never experienced it. I... I just can't.... :crying:

You should tell them to watch the How I Met Your Mother episode where they go to Tim Hortons. It's not really the same, but funny.

For what it's worth, I'm Canadian, and I never cared for Tim Hortons! I would always seek out a Starbucks instead, or if I really wanted a doughnut, I'd hit up a Krispy Kreme. I never understood the fascination with Timmy's coffee.

You know I'm not sure but I'd really love to see the look on the guard's face when he asked if you had anything to declare and you said "yes, weiners.". lol.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

OMG OMG OMG

I forgot to mention - we asked the border guard straight up on Friday and he said as long as it was packaged in Canada and not opened, we are fine to bring weiners and lunchmeat.

I just about turned around and went shopping before I crossed the border :)

Hiya - I looked at the US Border patrol site but I didn't see anything saying I can't bring things like hotdogs or Schneider's bologna back in a cooler. Anyone done this recently? It used to be you couldn't bring anything with beef(mad cow scare) and sometimes pork too, but perhaps they've lifted the ban?

It would be for personal use, so a small amount just for us.

Hi. I live in NY state and have brought deli meat (sausage and ham) driving across numerous times. I declare it and have never had any problems.
