What is the best way to transport my wedding dress? I bought it here in Canada in February. Can I mail it using form 3299? I would take it on the plane but it maybe a little too big. For two of my flights it's a very small plane (BEH). I don't know what to do!!

Mine had in-built tulle and boning in the bodice but it's mostly air so I was able to squish it into a travel on suitcase. Wasn't ideal but it worked and it was in my sight the whole time. It wasn't cheap so I didn't want to risk any other method.

Can't you carry it on board, I am sure of you tell them it is our wedding dress they will assist you.

I had a large dress and I carried it on. I asked if I could get on the plane first to find a spot for it and they were very nice about it!

They had no issues with it being bigger than the check in size.

Maybe call the airline and ask what they recommend.

Some airplanes, even small ones, have a coat closet that the attendants and pilots use. I have seen them put garment bags for brides in there when they asked.

It'll be fine! Like I said though, just ask to board the plane first since you have a special request and they'll find space for you!
