Hello!

As I wait for my Case Number from manila , I am trying to prepare my budget for the next few monthes and the ticket for her arrival. I know I will have to pay for her medical and Visa fee, Along with getting her ticket to the states.

I will be out training for a while, during the duration my mother will take over and do the budgeting to get her over here on the final steps...

What is the cheapest airline to go with to get her a one way ticket to the states?

I was told I have to prepare more evidence... but with as quickly as the NOA2 came , We really don't have any new evidence ( It took less than a month ) I m kinda stuck on that too!

What should she be prepared for when the Interview day comes?

By the way we found out we are having a girl :)

Any advice is apreciated!

Congrats on the news. With regards to the airline, it would help if you mention where she has to fly. It also would depend on how quickly you are looking to travel after her visa approval. I have found delta to have the most reasonable prices, however it's still around a grand, so not so reasonable lol. Budgeting is always a good idea, but you will find that kinda gets blown away as the process ends, something is always coming up. If she lives in manila that obviously helps, but if in a province, flights to and from home to medical and interview, along with hotels $'s can add up.

Good luck with the rest of the journey

She is coming from Davao. But from Davao to Manila we just use cebu pacific , and the ticket is only 20-40$. Sometimes cheaper they will have promos once in awhile , we saw them have a promo for a flight to manila for 1$ haha. I kid you not. Anyway , I looked around and saw some flights for 750 a month in advance. .... So its not to bad, just have to figure out what to do about continuing evidence.

Please Elaborate, I am sure everyone is going to want to know. What is reason for Expedite for them to grant it?

I called the military and explained to them she was pregnant and it was hard for me financially. And that it was important to get her here before thebaby was born to get her on my insurance plan through the army. week later it was approved.

If Maryland is not her POE, make sure that you (your mom) pick a good POE for her & that she have Extra (enough) time for connection(s) - should she need it.

Hi Chad...

You and Jovie Ann are K-1ers just like Chinook and I were. It's time for you guys to get prepared for the medical and the Embassy interview. A good place to start is to read the letter the Embassy sends out to K-1 beneficiaries which tells then they are eligible to schedule an interview and gives them instructions on how to prepare for the interview.

It usually takes forever to receive this letter, so don't bother waiting around for it. Instead, you can read it right here.

One thing you want to do right away is to call the National Visa Center (NVC) and get your MNL case number. The NVC's phone number is 603-334-0700. Once you have your MNL case number, you can get rolling on completing the medical at St. Lukes and setting an Embassy interview appointment. Be persistent and keep trying every day to get your MNL case number. Talk to someone at the NVC call center rather than using the phone menu.

I'm wondering if you can get an expedited interview too.

 And thanks for your service!

For airlines, I would recommend something which flies into Dulles. I would also suggest looking at Philippine Airlines as well (no terminal transfers in manila), Fly into Dulles then taking a connector to BWI (if needed). I know how anxious this must be with her already expecting a child.

Please keep in mind the stay in manila. 1) st. lukes medical will take two days. 2) embassy interview one day. 3) CFO in manila or Cebu (there is no CFO in Davao). The CFO is one full day. She can get the CFO done while in manila for the embassy interview (I highly recommend Good Shepard Convent in Manila (one stop for all of CFO plus they serve lunch there for a reasonable price), then get stamp at airport when leaving. (Terminal 2 is always manned during the day for the CFO sticker. The other terminals are hit and miss.)

Maybe your fiancee can join you at your post abroad, then fly back with you when you return to the states? Dulles has international flights to Tokyo, Seoul, and Beijing. http://www.mwaa.com/image/Air_Service_IAD_International.JPG

Wish you the best in all.
