Hello all,

My fiancee (in the US) received I-797 stating that her I-129F petition has been approved. The letter states "the above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance"

1- I thought that USCIS sends approved petitions to National Visa Center or State Dep? Why does the letter state that papers were sent to consulate?

2- Though it mentions "the listed consulate" the letter did not mention the consulate of my residency specifically.

3- What are the next steps?

Thanks for your help.

The consulate will send you a packet with instructions, forms, you need to get your medical done; see VJ guidesvfor more information AND pay for your VISA.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
