I feel miserable too. I think I will be the longest AP from the Embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. So far from other posts I have seen the longest AP at that embassy to be 6 months. I am on my 4th and no end in site. I am almost catching up to the longest one.

n Jamaica at?

I went to the country portal for Saudi Arabia US embassy and went through the posts to see the trend. There are not too many VJ members belonging to the US embassy Riyadh. U can try the country portal for Jamaica to see if you can see a trend.

Jamaican AP is abt 4 mnts the most..As i said i just got out of it and it was 4 1/2 mnts..and i saw others from JA took

abt the same time or shorter..good luck!!

Yea I know... This is so depressing. What did u do that whole time. I stopped checking dhl so much but can't stop thinking bout it :< I'm miserable. I tried staying busy and I can't even stop thinking bout it. Only time I don't think of it is on weekends idk something bout during the week I know embassy is open and could be working on it. Grrrr

Try to take it one day at a time and not think too far ahead. My husband has been in AP for over a year now and to keep my sanity I take it a day at a time. Your fiance is from an embassy that is known for not giving long AP's. You are blessed that's he's not from Pakistan. May God bless you and your AP ends soon.

I wish everyone would just get what they want for Xmas it's only been 20 days and it's dreadful. I can't imagine 12 months of it :-( I'd die of overly depressed or something.

Lexie,

You've got to stop doing this to yourself because IF and it's a BIG IF... your ap lasts a few months ... for you its just a matter of time and in your country the AP usually does not last so long. Just take the days now to prepare for his arrival and do things to keep yourself busy. I can't tell you how it feels to be in ap as long as we have... there are days im emotionally drained and days i feel very positive we will see the end soon. But you can't do this to yourself it will drain you completely... believe me.. i've been there. Just find things you can do to keep busy and keep positive and before you know it the ap will be history.

As i said before call DOS once a week keep a log of who you spoke with and exactly what they said... a pattern will emerge and it will give you some hope. Good luck.
