Ok - So, I've known already about the license, marriage, honeymoon, car, insurance, clothes, etc. but I wasn't aware that I had to pay for the ROC (I haven't researched that far yet) or the visa fee of $350...

You don't. Your beneficiary should be paying for that since it's her visa.

Some beneficiaries hit the jackpot and got an all-expenses-paid trip to further their studies. Mine did not. All the things on that list are things you may pay for but your beneficiary is perfectly capable of paying for herself.

Is the form that you are claiming is the "vaccination form", DS-3025, the same as the I-693 "Notice of Appeal of Decision Under Sections 245A or 210 of the Immigration and Nationality Act"?USCIS - FORMS

I want to attach a file for everyone to review, but this editor won't allow me to attach it (Excel file type).

I started it back when we were trying to decide between a marriage in the US or in RU.

Don't they do a background check on her as part of the Initial Review? When I talked to USCIS they told me that in Initial Review the agency conducts background checks on the petitioner and the beneficiary.

USCIS does a criminal background check in the US. I think that is form 325(?) that was sent in the application package. For the consulate interview she must submit a police certificate (a criminal background history) from any place she has lived since she was 16 (I think). Look a couple of threads down for ONA's excellent information on how to get a police certificate in Russia. If your fiance has lived in countries other than Russia she must get a police certificate from each country. I believe the certificate is good for a year from the date on the certificate but I may be wrong about that. Please read, understand and follow the guides on VJ. You will be more prepared and less stressed.

The 3025 form is one that she will want to request at her medical. It is the official vaccination form from the medical.

You will use this form and go see a Civil Surgeon who will transcribe those results onto the applicable parts of a 693 form which is part of the AOS submittal.

Not sure of the other form you mention.

ROC is two years after she gets her first GC.

Or it's always possible to risk it and just mail DS-3025 with the AOS packet. I know it doesn't always work out, but... it's worth trying.

What, did you think is was just one fee and you had a hot babe next to you forever. You have only just begun to pay fees. But, the good thing is that the next time she is next to you, not thousands of miles away.

How can I post a file to this forum? I really would like people to see this spreadsheet.

Unless it is really large, try copying and pasting it. If that doesn't work then make it a Word document and try again.

As long as the beneficiary is up to date on all their shots, they can go this route and be just fine. I wanna say that's what Alla (of Gary and Alla) did. Neon too?

Ensure your beneficiary makes and brings with them to the States a copy of the DS-3025 (vaccination form)

No - I just didn't think that there were two separate charges for the same visa - I only paid one fee for my Russian visa this year. How much will the mailing be again? $150, right?

There is only one fee for the fee.....and that first fee was for the petition.....these are two separate things and events.

Well, I didn't have to pay two separate fees for the Russian visa that I got. I think it was just about $150 for the application and issuance.

You weren't trying to immigrate permanently to Russia; you only obtained a visitor visa. Same thing would apply if she were only applying for a visitor visa to the US; one fee. You file a petition which was processed by USCIS, first fee and then once they approved that, they sent the approval results to the Embassy (via NVC) and they took on the task of considering granting the K-1 Visa, second fee.

I paid two fees to get my Russian visa. I paid the fee for the visa and the fee to get an invitation letter. I don't mind paying the fees for this process. I made a decision to marry someone from another country so therefore I should pay the costs involved.

I don't mind paying the fees, but it seems a little ridiculous. Possibly if I knew exactly what these people were doing it would be easier. I'm not going to refuse to pay it. BTW, I did have to pay some for my invitation letter, but that's not the same thing...
