I just got a letter from USCIS. they say that they reviewed my cased and that my case is at the appropriate USCIS office waiting for an interview date to become available. When the date becomes available I will receive an appointment notice to appear for an interview. For those who were in my case, what should I bring with me at the interview?

Ah, that is so frustrating...though I imagine that an interview is a lot more definitive than having to send yet another round of documents and wait for a response. I'm willing to bet that any documents required will be listed on the appointment letter. I can't imagine them requiring anything other than the usual: proof of shared address, shared financial documents etc. It's also possible (though unlikely) that they'll want to do a Stokes interview -- ask a few basic questions of your spouse in one room, and the same questions of you in another. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. Personally, I think I would have preferred an interview at this stage than having to wait for months longer than my fellow December filers. Good luck (and commiseration) either way.

What number did you call? the one on the RFE?

I called the number in the RFE then chose the option about RFE then talked to a rep. I told her about the RFE and that my response was submitted more than a month ago but no update so far. She checked what's the date being processed that week and it was January 17th (not sure exactly) so she submitted a request to VSC for update on my case. She told me to wait and that I should be hearing from VSC very soon. And she's right, in less than a week i got the approval letter. And today also I received my new green card.

I'm still waiting too. Just haven't posted cuz I haven't heard anything since RFE. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what if anything they tell me.

Vareska, reading your post gave me a bit hope/made me less nervous! My GC expires on Dec 9th and the Hubs and I just sent everything off on Nov 30th, but it arrived the next day. Now we're waiting anxiously for the check to be cashed. Well, I"m anxious - he isn't! LOL. He keeps telling me to worry less. I hope we have enough evidence. I think we did a decent job but the companies didn't make it easy, not allowing us to have both of our names on i.e. the utility bills or internet bills.

I saw another December Filers thread so I'm not sure which one I should post in... but I guess with this post I posted in both!

I'm a little bit nervous because my GC was "damaged" very recently (a bent) by someone who was at our house during a get together :wacko: It's not broken but the back showed up with a white, vertical, 1" stripe on the copy and I'm obsessing over it. We didn't have time to get a replacement. Ugh! *shudder

Looks like I'm one of the only active members left from last December who is still waiting. Hmm...

I would be making a lot more noise if I were you - congressperson, ombuds, etc. That way you will have a trail of evidence that you tried to get them to act in case your only option is WOM. As an alternative, if you are interested in citizenship, you should just file for that.

Good luck! Makes me scared to see so many cases of forgotten I-751s on these and other boards.
