Hi Guys,

Hope everyone had a wonderful and thanks filled thanksgiving.

Im going to send the I 129F in about a week or so, and I dont want to screw anything up that would hold up our process longer than its usual (and already long) time.

Im literally just starting this process today, he is going to send me his pics but before he does, I want to fill out and email him the paperwork that requires his signature so he could send all at once. Now, that being said, I was filing out the G-325A for him, and in the first row, the last column asks for a FILE NUMBER, what am I going to put there? anything? I assume its going to be someone at the service centers that would fill that in with I guess our file number or something. Well actually at first I thought it was the A number, Alien Reg # but one, he doesnt have one obviously and two it says File number not the registration number.

Second question regarding this form is at the very bottom row, thats where it asks for the Alien Registration # but again, he doesnt have one. So should I make note of it on the form that he isnt a USC yet so they wont pick that as a reason for an incomplete package?

lastly, for his employment, he was and still is employed at one place, but his employer opened up a new place and they tried running it but the emotional and financial stress of running two businesses at once with only two people was too much to handle so they sold the second business and started to focus on the original place. This being said, two of his employment dates overlap. Should I write an explanation for this as well? Because it might be confusing to figure out or they may not want to take the time out to try to figure it out or they may think we're playing games or something. I couldnt find a how to fill G325a anywhere on USCIS or other places like they have for other forms, hence why Im asking you guys. Plus, I like to get feedback from people who actually went through this process and know what to do and not to do first hand.

As I said, i dont want to do anything that would elongate the process and I want to make sure all goes well so Im going to be bombarding you guys with questions prob for the next 6 to 8 months, my apologies in advance if I cause any headache to anyone.

Thanks All! :)

there is an example form here and that says to put "none" for the file number and alien registration number...

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-G-325A.pdf

as for the employment thing, you can write a short letter to go with the question but i dont really see a problem with overlapping dates anyway... people are allowed to have 2 jobs

good luck :)

awesome! thank you so much..

one more question dat just popped up in my head: I know this Q is probably going to sound silly to all of you, hell it sounds silly to me too but i have to ask to make sure cause I just want to make sure all goes without a hitch:(

both his and his mother's names have non american letters in it, and by dat i mean certain letters in turkish alphabet have dots over/under them as well as the non-dotted ones and their names have these letters. Its not like a second, former or a different name, its just the two alphabets clashing. My name has it also but ive been here so long that all my documents that ill be sending basically have abondoned the Turkish letters:) .. now, do I put the American version, or the Turkish version? or put the American version on the appropriate spots and just add a personal note under them with their birth certificate names and say this is how it is in Turkey and this is what it will be in America. there is only a dotting issue really :D

This is going to help me in the forms to follow as well.

Im psyching myself out already and i havent even sent anything in yet:( this is going to be a long journey.

Again, sorry for being a pain about this, but I cant really do this whole process correctly without your help :(

Thank you,

Annnnddd one more question :))

I personally have issues with gov't docs being delivered to my home address, dont know why but they dont get delivered or they get delivered much later than when they tell me its been sent and I have to go n pick'em up at the PO and I dont have time for that now that Im working till 6 7pm. Plus, Im at work when my mail gets delivered to my house so if by any chance it does get to my mail box I wont be able to sign for anything if required and I really dont want to risk late delivery or no delivery or the anticipation of did it come or not. So my question is, could we, my fiancee and I both put our work addresses as mailing addresses? would that cause any problems or somehow arouse suspicion in their eyes for any reason? I dont know y it would but like I said, I just want to avoid anything that would elongate the process and worse, prevent him from getting the visa. I had asked a lawyer couple months back and he had said that shouldnt be a problem but I had noticed that there isnt any place on the forms to differentiate home address from mailing address, unluess I overlooked it somehow. So any advice on this? I will have my home address on there as well, but I want to put a separate shipping address. Where would I indicate this on the forms?

Thanks in advace!!

English transliteration and don't worry about the turkish spelling or alphabet

YMMV

My finance's last name has umlats too over the U. You can copy and paste from online if you like. It should work. There is one line that asks for name in native alphabet. You need to put it in. Like Güler. My future last name. You can also hand write the form. Or type it and add with pen later.

PM me if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help. Welcome to VJ!

space for the native alphabet spelling for the alien fiancee, not the parents.

YMMV

Yes here is space for the native alphabet. Just a heads up when he arrives here his last name will not include any Umlat or other marks as government offices will not include on any document. We just went through that here. So just write both. As for the job situation. Just show both jobs, there is no issue with overlapping of jobs. Bahadir had more then 2 jobs and usually at the same time. We had no issues and he is here now in America! You are doing great...if you need anything letmeknow.....We are on AOS stage so I know how you are feeling rightnow!

Wow Sarah...that's a lot of love :) You will do just fine in this journey. It's honestly just really time consuming. Take the time to check every question a few times. Have an answer for every box. Even if NONE. Then front load your petition with some relationship evidence and voila....you got yourself an approval. Turk Kahvesi is another really helpful forum if you haven't made it over there already. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/287656-turk-kahvesi-turkish-coffee-cafe/page__st__885

Mari kinda runs the thread, and she's a master as the process.

Good luck and don't sweat asking for help. That's what we're here for. And don't forget to smile and laugh a lot. Don't let the process get you down ;)

Hugs to you!
