appeal/2nd interview help

After a 7.5 month process, we got denied today. We had been in AP for about 6 weeks and got the decision this afternoon. I wondered if anyone had any tips for some kind of appeal or 2nd interview option? I've seen things on VJ about speaking to a local government representative for help; does anybody have an experience with this? We are very disappointed but haven't given up hope. If you guys have any tips to direct me to a government office or specific person to help, that'd be so great. What are our options? What are our next steps?

PS: We were denied because the embassy officer didn't think or relationship was legitimate (we've been together over a year and have documented the entire thing and submitted far more paperwork than we thought we needed - notarized statements from parents, stories about how we met, etc etc etc). So it's not some sort of paper error that's easily corrected, sadly.

Are they any red flags in your case?

Interracial couple? Different Caste? Different Religions? Age Differences? Divorces?

I don't know how to get a second interview...but I know it's a tough obstacle to achieve. You do want to move quick though...Fiancee visa's do expire.

If you got denied, there is no way for second interview. Your paperwork will be send back to the USCIS for possible revocation. It might take months before you will here anything. You can try to contact your congressman, but most likely you will need to wait till the case will make it back to the USCIS.

What you can do is to close your K-1 petition get married and apply for CR-1 Visa. Though you will really need to overcome all of the concerns of the CO about legitimaty of your relationship.

Good luck
