My wife came here on a k-1 visa. We got married and I filed for her AOS. Today I checked the case status. It said that they ordered the production of her card after being approved. How can she get her green card when we didn't have the interview yet? Can this be a mistake? Any ideas?

What I am saying is that we were never called for an interview. How can they give her the card with no interview?

Not everyone gets interviewed. You were approved without an interview - which happens for many people. Congratulations! It's a great thing. You are very blessed. There's absolutely nothing to be concerned about. You're good to go and should be extremely grateful

Unless you also applied for an EAD via form I-765 with your AoS petition, the card will indeed be the Green Card. Your wife was already interviewed in Cairo, so they didn't see the need to interview you guys again.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Not everyone adjusting from a K-1 gets an interview. This happens all the time, and is perfectly normal. There is a forum just for discussing AOS, and you can see for yourself that many people's cases get transferred to the CSC and they never get called for an interview before receiving their green cards. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/7-adjustment-of-status-green-card-from-family-based-visas/

Congrats!
