Pacquiao - Marquez Fight

Loss and dissappointment. Neither really won even if Pacquiao technically pulled out the victory. These Marquez fights are always so frustrating. Is it Marquez's style or is he just in Pacqiuao's head?

I haven't watched barely any boxing so my opinion is just based off of watching the fight last night.

One of the problems is they should have at least fought 15 rounds....They might even need to go 18 to find a clear winner.

Secondly, for Pacquiao supposedly being one of the best pound for pound fighters I wasn't that impressed. He is lightening quick at throwing punches, has amazing footwork, but he didn't do barely any power punches on Marquez.

As far as direct clean power punches went I think Marquez had the upper hand..

To me, that guy who fought the 3rd match (Timothy Bradley) would have beaten the ####### out of both Marquez and Pacquiao!!!

I understand he fought a 40 year old and just devoured him. But he looked very professional, very calm, he's still undefeated, he barely got touched that match, connected non-stop, and just did a phenomenal job. Complete bull dog.

In related news, Floyd Gayweather has grown female breasts and when approached again by the Pacquiao management to schedule a fight, he was heard to say "help me mommy".

Mayweather is going to decimate Pacquiao on May 5th, 2012.

Just like he decimated Marquez and everybody else he has fought.

Freddie Roach, himself, said that Marquez had Manny figured out. After 2 previous fights, you would think so. I don't think it'll be easier next time. Manny was definitely not in top form, probably because of his foot problems...he was much stronger in the last 2 fights.

I think Nacho said in one of the 24/7s on HBO that Pacquiao always leads with his head when punches with his left. I didn't see that as a good sign. My husband kept saying that Pacquiao's left kept getting stopped and he was getting very frustrated. He thinks the judges got it wrong though and that Marquez won. I disagree but I do think it was very close.

It's unfortunate this was your only exposure to Pacquiao because this was a very atypical fight for him. He usually dominates his opponents without question. Marquez has always given him problems and probably always will. He's like kryptonite for PacMan. I now believe that there will never be a clear winner between these two fighters no matter how many times they go up against each other.

Did anybody else get annoyed by those two dingus announcers that were calling the fight on HBO? Only Emanuel Steward seemed to have anything worthwhile to contribute.

At this time I dont know if thats going to happen? I saw as you probably did on ESPN from "Mayweathers" Camp that he will fight Pacquiao on May 5th, 2012. However, Bob Arum Pacquiaos Promoter says he dont know why Mayweather Put that story out? He says he knows nothing about a fight with Manny! he said nobody has signed anything . But things could surely change overnight? that is the fight the "World" wants to see since they going back and forth since 2008 about fighting! Lets get it on!

He won but he didn't prove a point. He was supposed to be better than the previous 2 times he met Marquez in the ring. And he was supposed to remove all doubt about who is the winner.

He didn't knock him down or hurt him.

He just had a little more endurance and threw a few more punches. Just enough to squeeze by on a decision.

A win is a win. He is still the best boxer in the world in his weight class.
