Okay, we finally got an answer today, apparently, and this is what they say, there is a discrepancy between the name on my passport and the name on the visa. All the paperwork that we have has my name correctly. My passport is correct. So it comes down to just another excuse as to why they don`t have it done yet, or someone in Montreal typed my name incorrectly at the very last minute into the visa paperwork. There is no timeline for how long it will take to fix this. In fact, they have no timeline at all to process the paperwork. We`ve been told to call back next Monday or Tuesday.

Contacting the senator again today...
