I got the text and e-mail that card production was ordered yesterday (6/15) and another notification today. Last touched was today (6/16), so that probably means they mailed my card.

There seems to be no rhyme and reason for these online notifications. First there is nothing for 5 months and then I get 2 messages!

So how long did it take to get your biometrics appointment letter? I'm getting antsy, it's been almost a month since I applied.

I guess I'm antsy because work is sending me to San Diego for a week in the middle of July and I have a trip planned to Canada for a week in August.

BTW, am I able to travel to Canada before getting biometrics? I've read conflicting things.

It took me about a month after the NOA1 to get my Biometrics letter. I personally would not travel until Biometrics because when I got the appointment letter, my biometrics are 2 weeks from the date. I guess it also depends on how long you'll be gone for...xD

Nice, good to know. I booked a trip to BC for early August as well. Have bio tomorrow. Trying to get them to send me the missing in action NOA1...did get a stamp in my passport so that's a temporary fix.

CSC seems to have hit a biometrics appointment snag.

I got my Bio letter too Appt dated for 7/9. I was a little worried cause I just got a new job (yay!), and was hoping I wouldn't have to take time off. Turns out it falls on what is randomly my day off that week. lol Woot! I have to drive to a different town about 45 mins away to get it done so it's a bit of an ordeal. I think I'll turn it into a road trip since I have to be there at 9am and will have all day to myself afterwards

I was also a little concerned because I have a trip planned, but I don't leave til the 18th, so this is perfect. It's nice when things fall into place.

Oh god, I know right? Missed my stamp at POE, lost my medical, etc etc. And this time I'll probably get an RFE for missing a copy of the green card though (at least this one is actually MY fault... lol).

There's been a lot of BS going on overall really... haha I'm about over it! Crossing my fingers I at least get a 10 yr card in time for Christmas. That'd be a nice present.

So I just checked the timeline for I-175 processing via Vermont... and it says 8.5 months!!!! GOSH!

I've been scarce around this place too, but travelling soon to Canada (first time since 2010 Nov)

Had the NOA and biometrics already. Do I bring that NOA letter with me?

I don't expect to get a new GC issued to me before my trip. So therefore I will have my current CAN passport, an expired permanent residence card, and a letter stating "Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year."

I hope. Obviously it's the getting back into the US that's the trick. I'm not too worried but wondering if anyone else has traveled back to the US only with an expired GC and an NOA letter?

Regardless, I need me some cottage country. Bad.

What's up KnJ!?!? Hubby and I drove up to Toronto and back last month and got in AND out, no problem. Had my green card, letter and passport and border patrol dude did not even blink. Happy travelling!

Just want to echo that yesterday we re-entered the US after a week long stay back home. I had my CAN passport (with my marriage license paperclipped on the inside cover), expired green card and extension letter. The patrol barely blinked, asked how much wine we were bringing over, and said to have a safe drive.

All that worrying for nothing!

I had my biometrics done this morning, as scheduled. Was in and outta there within a 1/2 hour! Love that.

Now I wait. Good to hear that people are having good luck crossing the border in the mean time. After a year and a 1/2 since my last visit, I'm finally heading home again next week! EEEEEEE!!!!
