Hi everyone! my fiance, who is a college student, just recently got a job (this November), therefore on the I-129F that we sent last July, he was still unemployed. Would that be a problem? If it is, what's the way to deal with it?

Another question is, since he just started this November, we don't have an ITR to present yet, but after we computed his monthly salary, it does exceed 125% of the requirement for 2 people. Would pay stubs do the job? He can also ask for a letter from his employer, but do we need to have it notarized?

In the future he will prepare the 134 support form that will indicate his present income.

I would submit a letter with the 134 explaning the previouse lack of income along with the present income shown on the 134. A letter from the employer would be good. Remember as you go thru this that notaries only verify signatures having nothing to do with content. It would do no good to notarize the letter because who ever signed it is also an unknown.

Since he was in college at the time the petition submitted, Manila is likely accept a co-sponsor and take his future earning potential into consideration.

It'll be obvious the fiance was in school, therefore no IRT. Pay stubs, a letter from the employer and the 134 is what you'll have. Not necessary to notarize the letter from the employer, as long as it is on the company lettterhead.

Hi! Actually he's still in college now. He's a working student, and has 2 more semesters left to finish. We definitely have a co-sponsor ready once they allow us to have one.

Thank you so much for your advice.
