Husband's senate and congress office helped a lot. The Senate emailed directly the Consular Officer Nov 28 (not the visa inquiry unit anymore) and pushed our case because what they were doing was not right. They received an email from the embassy at around 10pm (Phil Time) so the embassy must be really working hard on our papers.

Status: almost 11 weeks after Interview (Sep 20 2011)

Original Filing Date (Feb 14, 2011)

After almost 3 weeks and many calls and emails asking why they not acknowledge our lawyer request, Embassy finally responded. Embassy response: To produce a DS-3032. WE had provided 2 G29s (one each). The G28 form served to show representation and similar to a DS-3032 (signed by my fiancee).

Aye...

We hoping we get our visa before anyone has to be put into a retirement home.

Same here, they also kept mine and my children's passports. But the 221g was mailed to me a week later. I had no idea at first. Glad I found this site cause I was nearly freakin out as to why they told me "wait till you hear from us" aren't they supposed to tell the applicants wether it's approved or not?? Then I remember I actually provoked the CO to run his own investigation regarding my civil status cause he kept asking me if I was married to the father of my kids during my interview. So he really did it and put me on AR/AP. Lol

hi vj's same situation as mine i got interviewed with my son last oct 20, the CO told me that our visa was approved and told us to wait for our visa to deliver, much to my surprise or rather call it dismay after almost 3 weeks of waiting a 221g letter with my passport has deliverd to me, asking me to repeat the medical results together with my son and my old expired passport, after getting the results they asks me to send it via 2go...heres the problem i have to undergo sputum test and they culture it for 2 months, its really annoying and frustrating

hi vj's same here as mine, we had been interviewed w/ my son last oct 20, the CO told me that our visa was approved and wait for the visa to deliver.,as i waited for almost 3 weeks and much to my surprise or rather call it dismay the 221g letter and passport has been sent and asking us to repeat the medical and send it back to 2go after getting the results fr slec..

heres the frustrating part the story behind, when we had our medical last may 25,2011 the slec asks me to to undergo sputum test after the smear they told me that its negative from any bacteria and have to culture it for 8 weeks so i waited for the reults until aug, so were clear they informed me that my medical will expire after 3 months that is oct 29 to be exact.,,so had my interview oct 20 and sadly that's they're reason for our delay... the hardest part here is we need to start all over again back to zero.., my fiance's plan this january we'll going to repeat the medical and it will take us another 3 months of waiting to get the results...its really frustrating

hi there may i ask why it took for you to get your interview schedule? If you get your results last August and you learned that your medical will expire in 3months why didnt you get the earliest interview appointment as possible? Just asking , look at the intervals, ur interview was Oct 20...the medical will expire on Oct 29, not much time to process the visa..:( I feel you tho..im sorry for this...God Bless n be strong.
