Job change (possible)

Aloha y'all,

I have been with my current company almost two years. My fiancee and I are expecting our NOA2 any day now.

Basically, my job is the same one I have done for 9 years, since graduating college, but with different companies, of course. But the job is pretty much nights and weekends. There is a new job at work that is a day shift job, but I wonder if applying for the job would be bad for the affidavit of support. Even though I would still be with the same company, would my employer letter look better with two years of work at one position or would it matter if I changed to this job?

All thoughts welcome.

I was laid-off between my NOA1 and NOA2. I managed to get work online, but it won't be enough income until January. In the meantime, I got letters for my past work, my present work, my tax returns, bank statements, and an explanation paper of my situation. In fact, it seems they only considered my previous job and already made the decision to approve. I don't think it will affect you much, as long as you are still making enough income. They may already be considering everything from the previous job, but if you change, just be prepared with the appropriate documentation.

There's nothing to worry about. It's with the same employer.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.
