Our Petition will be expired on January 11, 2012 and we got our MNL# last Sept 30.

Due to some matter, my fiance will be delay on sending his income supporting documents to me and we plan to have the interview by December.

I'm confused whether the US Embassy in Manila will set the interview appointment or we can choose the date?

USEM automatically extends the petition.

Most of the people posting about interviews for manila talk about booking themselves the interview via the phone or internet. Check your regional forum for the complete information.

As long as you can have the interview before the expiration date that is okay... in case you can't make it on the expiration date, the embassy usually extend this, just give the reason why...

As for the interview... you will set your own interview appointment, the December slots may not be open yet at this time.. as per experience... if you want your interview to be December, schedule it online or via phone around end of November.
