HI GUYS,

I'm in Ghana with my fiance, and was hoping she would be coming back to the states with me, but this Ghana embassy has to be the worst embassy in the world. My fiance had a follow-up appointment yesterday, embassy wanted her to correct the birth date in her passport, which she did. They also requested tax transcritps from me along with phone logs, and on the 27th we gave them everything they requested. I sat outside for about 3hours waiting for her, and when came outside, she told me they wanted her to cancel out her old liberian passport. The shocking part was when they told her, they wanted proof of my sister. they have now rescheduled for another appointment on March 26,2012, why are they stalling us like this. Does anyone know if I can go and sit down with someone in this embassy, and get to the bottom of this mess. What can I do while still in Ghana?

They are do it by the numbers, it is so important to have everything correct from the beginning, it saves off of these problems. Bright side is you got another appointment.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Anh map is right. Whatever they asked for must be given to them to complete the case.

Birth date & old passport is understandable. Those are mistakes she made.

Proof of your sister? What does that mean? Are you using her as co sponsor? If so you should have turned in the proper documents. Is that what they are asking for?

You may get inside the embassy to get some info but you will have to frame your questions correctly to get a responce.

I dont understand why she has to wait until next March for example. It seems if she turned in the documents they could have her come back long before then.

i think you go to the gate tell the security you want to go to the citizens services.Don't ever tell the security about your real mission.Once you get there Be sober and calm and ask all your questions and i think they will help explain things to you. Please ,there is one particular black lady over there fat, rasta hair and she is very mean she does not have time to even explain anything .so just you know ,don't go and act as if you are exercising your rights please. If all your answers are not given you can request to speak to the deputy ambassador and they will schedule you to speak with him /her.

Good luck.We will pray for you my friend

If any of you is filing for K1 visa or fiance visa and you are in the country with your beneficiary, MAKE SURE U ENTER THE EMBASSY with him or her on the day of interview, becos in your case thats what you should hav done, then what was the point in you travelling down to support her without entering the embassy. Well like others hav said,is not too late,go to the embassy and demand answers
