Hi everyone, received the DS-3032 about a week ago. We've paid the AOS fee, but have a question about the DS-3032. My husband says that there is no need for me to list him as my agent, and that I should just have any relevant correspondence sent to my address in the United Kingdom. I, however, am not entirely sure what would be the best thing to do here, so I would be very grateful if you could share with me any experiences you all have of this? I would ideally like to mail my DS-3032 off by the end of this week. Thanks!

A better idea than mailing would be to follow the email template found here on VJ: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

And remember, if you give both email addresses to a NVC operator, then all correspondence is sent by email, so trying to figure out who to choose for an agent is a moot point as both of you will get the emails.

It is good to nominate your husband, so that he gets the correspondence regarding the DS-230 esle NVC will have to correspond with you regarding any issues with your DS-230, which will delay the process. Nomination doesn't change the fact that you should sign the DS-230 and either can submit the packet when ready. I suggest that without further delay send the DS-3032 email nominating your husband.

Thank you so much Saylin and NavyK for your useful advice which I followed. I emailed the NVC on Wednesday and received a response from them acknowledging my husband as my agent today. We have also been invoiced for our IV bill which I have tried to pay but it's not allowing me to select that option on the state dept's website. Oh well, I'll just keep trying until we can make the payment. Thanks again for your help!

Hello I had my wife send an email from Argentina 9 days ago to NVC regarding choice of agent to try and expedite and avoid using mail, but no response yet, I will have her send another one. I have already paid the AOS fee.

It's taking NVC around 2 weeks currently to review DS-3032 emails. No need to send another one and clog up their servers further.
