Date Stamp on Photos

I am getting together some photo's of my fiance and myself from her last visit here in order to send for proof of current relationship. They were taken of us right after we were engaged in Niagra Falls summer of 2011. The problem is we had left the time stamp on the camera and all the pictures say 11/2006 on the bottom right hand corner. Do you think this would be a problem if I send them in with this explanation written on the back?

This happened to me. I wrote a letter explaining that my date was not set correctly(didn't know that it wasn't) and when the pictures printed out they had a date in 2007 on the back, when in fact were taken in March/April of this year. I haven't heard anything back on these and hoping that it is ok.

Yes, this will create a problem because the evidence (date stamp) contradicts what is listed on the I-129F as to you meeting 1 time during the last 2 years. If you submit the photos with a date stamp older than 2 years be prepared for a RFE.

Photos are only secondary proof of meeting. Airline tickets, boarding passes, passport stamps are primary proof of having met.

You are probably best served by cropping off the date stamps and submitting the photos without a date. Just paste 2 or 3 photos to an 8 1/2" x 11" of paper and handwrite a description of the meeting with the accurate date.
