Tricky situation did not receive NOA1

So we filed the i -751 on August 29th. We got bio appt letter in the mail but we never got the NOA1 that proves they are working on our case. So basically does that mean that my husband can't work or travel until they approve our case? What do we do? The card does not expire until November 25th. My husband has a trip planned to go to mexico next week. Would he be ok to go to mexico for a few days as long as the card is not expired? But we literally have no proof that they are working on our case! What do we do?

I-129 F APPROVED IN 84 DAYS!!!! Sent in Packet 3, waiting for interview!!!!!!!!!

Delay. Had to resend DS-230 two times and send in 1040 tax return for 2008. Sent them in Monday May 18th. Waiting.......AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH INTERVIEW DATE MAY 26TH!!!!!!!!!!

WE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!

Matias flew in 2pm June 1st!!! I surprised my whole family!

MARRIED AUGUST 2ND 2009.

Filed, last minute, of COURSE! We have since received the work permit and permanent resident card!!

That letter is your proof that your permanent resident status is legally extended for one year so you definitely need it. Have you tried calling yet to ask why you didn't get one or if you can get a reissued letter? Or make an infopass appointment since your husband needs it to travel.

01/23/10- Conditional Green Card received!

ROC

10/17/11- Mailed ROC package

10/19/11- Package arrives at VSC

10/20/11- NOA1 issued

10/24/11- "Touch"

10/24/11- Check cashed

10/26/11- NOA1 received

11/23/11- Biometrics appointment

01/14/12- Conditional GC Expired

07/17/12- Approved! - Notification of card production

07/23/12- Notification of card being mailed

07/25/12- 10 year GC received!

Make an InfoPass appointment and they'll give him a stamp in his passport.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11
