Also my question is at the port of entry will they check all my luggage and can i put some medication on the checked in bags or not? "Also my question is at the port of entry will they check all my luggage and can i put some medication on the checked in bags or not?"

After you clear Immigration (activate your visa), you will claim your luggage and pass through customs. The customs officer will decide if he wants to search your bags (it's the luck of the draw). If they choose to search your bags you will follow the customs officer to a screening area where they will search for contraband or any items not permitted.

Personal medication is permitted (it is recommended to bring a supply of the medications you commonly use). The customs officer may ask you about these medications, but all you need to say it is for your personal use.

After customs is done searching your luggage then you get to put all your things back in your bags...

Welcome to America!

You won`t need the xray.

I brought some antibiotics with me and had a prescription for them but my bags weren`t checked nor did anybody ask about the medication. But have a prescription for the meds and if asked say it`s for personal use. Have a safe flight!
