We have received three I-797 Welcome letters with the same receipt number. They are all receipt notices with different dates. Two are welcome letters.. They say you should hear from us in 30 days.

They were dates 10-12-11 and second welcome letter was dated 10-17-11.. We got the Green Card today.... Is this all that is needed until 2 years when You have to submit an another form in 2 years???

You got the green card now you just collect evidence over the next 2 years for ROC.

The time will pass quickly... Then it's rush rush to when In America haha

Removal of Conditions is where we go for an interview here in the states after being married for two years. You basically show proof of continued relationship such as joint bank accounts or loans, joint rental leases, pictures of lifes happenings, and show that you are still married and living together. They will then convert it to a different status. Im not sure if that makes it then an IR1 instead of a CR1 or what but I know at that point my sister in law was then able to study and take her citizenship exam and become a permanent citizen not too long after.

Removal of Conditions does not " convert " your status to anything. It removes the conditions of the 2 year green card and gives you a 10 year green card. It does not make it an IR-1 or CR-1 or anything like that.

Not everyone has interviews either. The majority do not have interviews.
