AOS Processing TIme

I'm thinking ahead, preparing for the next steps and I wondered hoe long the AOS process usually takes?

I've read some forums but nothing seems to state anything specific toward time frame. Is it different by state?

It depends on which local USCIS office your files goes to and whether or not you have an interview. We filed to the California Service Center and it went to our local office in Denver and the EAD card took 46 days and the GC took 96. Bio appointment was 34 days after sending in the AOS.

Hope that gives you some idea. I would expect to wait 90 days for the GC, BTW interview was on day 87.

Thanks - that's great information. I have a local office in my city actually and I've heard they are pretty quick so hopefully we wont wait too long. Those time frames weren't as bad as I expected.

Filed 1 week after being married (mid Sept). My wife received her Employment card close to Thanksgiving (late Nov) and Green Card arrived New Year's Eve. Within 3 months she received both documents.

This is great news! It looks like, as long as I have the money right away, everything will get done quickly.

I looked at the Immigration Timelines available here on VJ to get an estimate of when we should expect to get EAD and the permanent resident card. However, we were surprised with a much quicker turn around; my husband's permanent resident card was in our mailbox 2 months after sending the original package. We actually received this card before getting the EAD card.

That's great and hopefully the same luck will occur in my situation. When I checked the search engine for dates it kept giving me different states and their timelines.
