I have a question that some of you veterans might be able to answer. My Rezq and I are still waiting on our NOA2 on our K-1 Visa. I've looked again and again on the flowcharts and so forth but I must be missing where to find the answer to my questions about the medical end of things. I know that when one comes here to America that they have to be up on certain shots to be able to enter the country. My question is, when should Rezq have these done? Is this something that comes after the interview or is he supposed to already have them done before the interview? Many thanks and blessings to all that answer!

"But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield." - Psalm 5:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV)

Hopefully your fiance has his shot records from when he was a child. When he goes for his physical (prior to the interview), he will give his shot records to the panel physician who will enter them into his official record. If he does not have all his vaccinations then he will have the opportunity to receive the missing ones during his physical.

If your fiance does not have his shot records he can have a titter test performed which will show the doctor which antibodies are present in your fiance - this indicates having had vaccinations for specific diseases at times in his life.

Vaccinations at the panel physican can be very expensive - so if your fiance has cheap or free health care, now is the time to get the shots.

All required vaccinations are posted on yoru Embassy's website and also here in the guides. These shots are not required for K-1, but ARE required for AOS.

vaccinations arent required until AOS but the sooner you get them done the easier it will be. some might be multiple shots over a period of time. having them all done before the medical can save a lot of hassle and money.

godspeed
