TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN NIGERIA

Then you are a living in a fantasy. Family based visas once you get through the initial checks are the easiest to hide under. You fake a family and lay low. And we already know about half the marriages from Nigeria are scammers looking to be in the US. The only ones that would fail security checks are those with a history. I would be willing to bet that most of the 9-11 crewe would have been able to get a family based visa if the found the right lonely woman online.

I appreciate the point u are trying to make but i think ur comparing apples and oranges (apologies to Herman Cain)with these examples. A terrorist doesn't need to get married to anybody because they are solitary in nature. A spy on the other hand needs the kind of cover u are referring to. I stand to be corrected with examples of which terror suspects in history used the route u have so eloquently laid out. Half the marriages are scammers...any statistics to back this claim? I see that notion didn't still stop u from finding a hubby in Nigeria....

touché ...lmao.

I won't make it easy for u though...do ur own digging. I would have though if u were not so closed minded.

Do my own digging because you have no proof. You can start calling names like "closed minded" all you want. I am open to your argument, so now it is up to you to prove what you claim. It's easy to offer no proof and call names. It's harder to provide proof when you have none.

People of ill intent will do what they need to do to get the job done if they marry it is to get to a place they want not for any feelings for the other party. If you put all your knowledge in wiki leaks you are believing the secrets of the government are in the hands of dissatified clerks. As far as scammers using women to get married you can look at VJ history or if you have any real knowledge of the Nigerian community just open your ears and eyes, they don't try to hide the way they use Americans.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

If you got it, then post the US diplomatic cable. Otherwise, you are just making things up. Show us you are not swimming naked.

LMAO!!! You demand proof from others, but refuse to provide any when you are ask to do the same.

Right. The US Government needs to cheat people out of a few thousand dollars in processing fees. That will really help with the $3,000,000,000,000 annual US budget. How much do you think it costs the US to have an embassy? Guess the fees generate a big profit after the costs of running the embassy is considered.

Disprove it. Show me a link. Otherwise it is just your opinion. I guess you have not heard about sacked CO's who blackmail applicants ? What's with the attitude ? Chillax.

Mention anything remotely related to what u have described above and kiss the K1 process goodbye at the consulate level.

Wean urself of such mentality or go the K3 route.

True talk... I have seen so many people in Naija interviews being refused the visa for stuffs like that......Be careful what you wish for

In order to receive a K-1 visa, the applicant must show that he/she is free to marry. Is a person who has gone through the Nigeria Traditional Marriage Ceremony free to marry? Can this person go an marry another person in a civil marriage in Nigeria? If not, then this person is married.

Jojo, You got it wrong, If i may ask you,Do USCIS that adjudicates K1 Visa petition follows Nigeria Traditional Marriage ceremony as a legal Marriage for approving K1 Visa petition?. If the USCIS knew about the Traditional Marriage and approves the K1 visa petition, the Consulate cannot use it deny the an applicants a visa, Is there any place you can find in USCIS laws that Nigeria Traditional Marriage is a requirement for approving K1 visa. USCIS Laws states that for Marriage to be legal, there must a marriage certificate that is registered with the body responsible for it.

As long as both of them have not performed the legal Marriage acceptable by USCIS, thats means that both of them are free to marry when the applicant got to USCIS using K1 Fiancee Visa. Please Nigeria Traditional Marriage ceremony is not a requirement for approving K1 visa and it is not a valid Marriage for USCIS.

Did the person in question include the words TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE in the petition or just photos of a couple in non American attire. If they used the words in theory you are correct but just photos without the words doesn't count as they didn't disclose a traditional marriage. If they had used the words they probably would have gotten an RFE
