I don't think CSC will pick up till before or after Christmas. You have two major federal holidays coming up in the next two months (thanksgiving and Christmas) so it would make sense for them to make k-1's a priority again after Christmas or around then. Then you will prob see a reversal, VSC will slow down and CSC will pick up

Thank you. My fiance called USCIS today to follow up on our application, and the only answer he got was "We'll notify you once your NOA2 is ready."

I'm sure they'll still find time to process our applications regardless of the holidays. They have a timeline to follow.

By the way, how accurate are the charts here on visajourney?

Its probably better to go by what USICS publish. VJ only has a small sample of all those going through the process and depends on members updating their information in a timely and accurate manner. One member here who gets approved in record time will impact the statistics for the site here but have a lesser impact on the USICS data

Just remember it doesn't have to be easy, it just has to be right. Yes the wait isn't fun but there is plenty to do between now and then. Get your affairs in order, spend time with your friends and family before you leave them, read up on what the next steps and stages are.

we called USCIS yesterday and they told us, the K1 takes about 5 months and that its only an estimate. and that it could take more than 5 months. i was like whaaaat! in my person opinion, i think the charts here are about 85% to 95% accurate.

I wonder if all the calls they get push them to move faster.

I doubt it. If I recall someone here mentioned that they have contracted staff who answer calls with a pre-set list of answers. Besides the longer they spend on the phone with someone the less time they have to look at the pending files.
