Will my previous petition affect my current one?

Hello, I previously filed a K1 visa for a previous woman I had met and intended to bring over. Unfortunately there were problems, and even though the visa was granted, I did not bring her over, and the visa lapsed. I have since moved on and have found someone else who is special. I soon plan to file a K1 visa for her--my question is, will the first K1 affect in any way the ability of me to get a K1 for my new girlfriend? I know on the I129 application it asks whether I have applied before, so that is why I am asking.

i believe there is an exclusion period between files i cannot remember what though

i don't see how it would be a problem.. just be honest.. they are trying to find people that don't tell the truth or scam the system

I think the I-129F instructions, ... if you would read them.... ask you to file a waiver paper if you have filed for someone else in the past two years. If you have, then you have to explain, I think on #11, it asks if you have ever filed for any other alien fiance, right?

And, it asked for explanation.

I can relate, because I just filed my second K-1 in July of this year.

I filed the first, for a different lady, in 2007 and she actually came here on the visa in 2008.

And, honorably returned home before the visa expired in 90 days.

I wrote out a complete explanation on #11, about the first petition and mostly the time frames about what happened, it being all good and within the law/legal framework.

I basically did what Skiptex says: be honest, tell the truth.
