evidence of ongoing relationship

Hello again,

Maybe just one more question...

So my fiancee's interview is coming up on Oct. 18. She created a beautiful picture album/scrap book of proof of an ongoing relationship since we submitted our 1-129F. However, it is in a traditional picture album format, including pictures, hotel receipts, plane ticket, train tickets, etc. from the six months we recently spent together while I was in Thailand with her as well as of our trip to Laos and Cambodia. In sum, it is large. After reading most of the consulate reviews here it seems like she will submit this evidence through a slot in the glass to the consular official. I don't think the album will fit. Should she take everything out of the album and put it in a format that will fit through the slot? Does anyone have any experience of submitting additional evidence on the day of the interview?

Thanks again,

Eric

YES! From what I have heard here on Manila emabassy, you should separate the folders into different sections.

Example just an example:

Folder 1: proof of payment, appt letter, NVC Letter, DS papers

Folder 2: passport Birth Cert, Divorce decree..

Folder 3; Ticket, receipts, pictures

Better to separate them in section and in order how it appears on the letter she received.

If the album is a binder that you can pull stuff out of you are ok. She could then remove anything they wanted to see and pass it through the slot and return it to the albulm

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

This can be done in different ways. If its organised as it is she could just show it to them. If they want to see it they will simply send a staff member to the side door to ask her for it. Make this as easy as possible for the officer to review. The fact she has such evidence may cause them to not even bother looking at it.

How thick are your albums? Here's the photo of my relationship evidences http://imgur.com/O0Rga, the biggest one on the far left is thick around 4 cm and it fits well in the slot.

At my Consular interview in Bogota, I was asked for the items to be passed through the slot at the particular window I interviewed at (with my now Wife). A large photo album will not fit through a 10" by 3.5" slot. Just keep that in mind, and organize your proof of an on-going relationship as such. Photos showing family members interacting and in love are very beneficial - as are plane ticket boarding passes, phone records, etc. Good luck with everything.
