how long does Dublin embassy take to send out visa

I have my visa interview on the 18th of October. I would like to be with my wife by the 31st of October. The embassy say they take 2-3 days to process it but does everyone think i'd be taking a bit of a risk booking flights now for the 26th.

They say never book flight until you have Visa in hand.

We had an issue with Betty's Irish passport and had to get new one.

interview was Sept 27, mailed back new passport to embassy on the 28 from Dublin.

they would not let us drop it off, had to Mail it.

sent them email on Sept 29 asking if they received it.

heard back Sept 30, saying yes, they did and we could pick visa up on Monday Oct 3

I again sent email asking them to mail it, because her flight was on Oct 9

We did not want to spend another day running around Dublin.

they said yes and told us it would be mailed on Oct 3,

she got it on Oct 4

Just some things you may deal with. Hope not

but we did. they had inverted her name on her Irish passport

FYI

the X-ray is not necessary BUT you MUST Take the Medical report out of X-RAY envelope and bring it

with you.

The medical is not sent over, its in the X_ray file, So Bring it :bonk:
