Has anyone else had to deal with the J1 visa's 2 year rule while their status is IR1/CR1?? I'm really just so confused... Are there going to be any other surprises or delays? We were suppose to have our final interview Tuesday, Sept. 27th, then they told us they couldn't interview us, because they had to send our stuff to the DHS office for approval (I think in Athens). However they didnt tell us why... It was already sent to the USCIS in Athens for approval once last year because we hadn't met the 2 year requirement. Now the 2 year requirement has been met so I don't understand why we couldn't have our interview. Why did they even schedule us anything if they couldn't interview us? And why didn't they send our stuff in the first part of September when that requirement was met with out us having to call a million time to get an interview and then show up just to tell us that? I feel like when ever we have to move onto the next process we have to call them to remind them that we still exist. There are always problems with our case, and always huge delays... They told Amr to do his medical check a couple months ago, and now it will expire November 21. His medical took 2 months to check for TB. How can we get them to speed things up a bit or get things right the first time so we don't have to waste more money and more time? This isn't the first time that they have screwed things up for us. I feel like they don't know what they are doing.
