Between K-1 NOA1 and NOA2

I just received my NOA1 yesterday, and I wanted to know if I should begin getting together any other documentation before the NOA2. I am already working on printing bank statements from the past two years for the financial support form, and I know that I should also begin to start getting some information that will be required in NOA2. Is there anything else that you all can suggest?

Congrats on the NOA1 (just the first step in the process)...

NOW - start collecting the items required for the next step - the interview stage...

The USC needs to start putting together:

Evidence of an ongoing relationship

Emails

Snail Mails

Photos of the 2 of you together

Phone records

Etc

Financial information

Last 2 years tax returns with W-2's

Recent paycheck stubs

Letter from employer

I-134

The beneficiary needs to start collecting:

Birth certificate

Divorce decrees (if applicable)

Single certificate

Vaccination records

Police report

Passport (with at least 1 year of validity left from date of interview)

Updated letters of intent to marry

Use this time wisely to gather what's needed next. Check it and check it again to make sure you have everything necessary

Good luck

Will they send me a notice of what i will need? The first thing i got was just a receipt type notice. It didnt have any instructions. I provided a lot of evidence in the first set of documents already, and i have all financial records together. Both of our visas are good, and i need to get some things like vaccination records.

Where does she get a single decree?

Hello and congratulations! The process has just begun. Nothing is required up to the NOA2 process. However, after the NOA2 and towards your interview is when you would want to prepare. I would wait until you have received your NOA2. After then is when you will receive your instructions and interview date. Some things like your police report may only be good for several months (not sure about your country) so it may be best to wait. The only thing that we did was get my husbands passport photos, all other we waited till our petition's approval. Again not sure about your country, but the embassy may only be interested in your current financials, not what you made 2 years ago. We only sent in our most recent financial statements and pay stubs. Best regards.

Interview stage is after the NOA2.

Some of these suggestions I would wait until after this stage so that they are current info.

I have already sent in most of this stuff - If everything that they need was in the initial submission, will they just bypass NOA2 stage? I know she has to get a medical examination by a qualifed physician, vaccination records, birth certificate, etc.

So, the document that i received that was a "Receipt" was the NOA1?

Yes, the I-797 you received was your NOA1. The next notice you receive will either be a request for evidence, an approval or a denial of your petition.

At the interview stage you'll need to provide proof of ongoing relationship and the other items I posted above earlier. You should not have submitted financial documents at this time, the I-134 and other financial support documents are submitted at the time of the interview.

Nothing is required for NOA2. Read the Guides.

Don;t worry about single decree it doesn't apply for your country.

I didn't submit any financial documents. Here is what I submitted (which I'm assuming is/was required as part of the application):

- G-1145 E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

- Payment in the amount of $340.00 dollars

- I-129F

- G-325A and passport style photo for Tyler

- G-325A and passport style photo for Anastasia

- Birth Certificate/US Passport/Evidence of Citizenship copies for Tyler

- Letter certifying intent to marry for Tyler and Anastasia

- Proof of having met in person in the past two years

- Proof of ongoing relationship

I'm somewhat confused about the timeline reporting results. I checked on website where the goal processing time was listed at 5 months, the national average was 12.4 months, but the VSC was only 5 months...

Does this mean that 12.4 is the average for everything, including the VSC?
