I-864--Will I need it for the interview?

My wife’s CR-1 interview is on Oct 18 in Manila. I just realized that i did not make a copy of the I-864 (Affidavit of Support) to bring to the interview. Do you think that will be a problem?

Will it be ok if i just make a new one and sign it? ...or do the need a scanned copy of the original?

thank you

The reason to have copies of everything submitted is in case something in the file is lost or the interviewing officer wants to see an original copy. Why risk a delay to obtain a document you can already have in hand?

It doesn't pay to be lazy or try to out think the CO's.

It is best for your wife to have it with her, just in case the CO request to see it.

Sometimes the CO will ask to see it and other times they will not, it is far better

to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

"The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!" - Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States, 1945.

"Retreat hell! We just got here!"

I dont think u understand what Im saying. They already have the original I-864. The problem is that I did not make a copy of it. Its not a matter of being lazy or trying to out think the co. Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond. take care
