I signed up, but I don't have a lot of faith in it. Our first petition, the K1, was never touched. It still shows that they got it, and sent NOA1 and that is all. The second time for AOS showed a touch when they sent it to CSC, but nothing after that, although the AP and EAD did show 1 more each.

This time we show the petition arriving the 27th and nothing since.

I don't know if my last fingerprints were accepted yet or not. They were pretty quick to send out the second appointment, only 1 week, but this time I haven't heard a thing. I wonder if they send an RFE for that, or do you just get some sort of letter.

Back to my corner, patiently waiting. Ya right.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Yeah our I-130 still says "Initial Review" from 2009  They're not great on the whole keeping-things-up-to-date front. USCIS reminds me of the DMV on crack + USPS on Christmas Eve, oh, and only 1 employee working on everything :bonk:

My biometrics appointment went really well.

I left home about 0730 then got to Metaire,LA after 3 hrs. I came up to the building around 1030 for my 1100 schedule. There was little to no people yet.

I was surprised with the speed of my biometrics appointment. When I came up to the reception window, they asked me to fill out this white form with some of the pertinent information. After I turned it in, I have waited about 5 minutes then they called my name. A very polite lady took my fingerprinting, picture, and signature.

I was out of that building, literally after 12 minutes.. (well, let's make it 15 including the bathroom time.)

6 hrs drive was not bad. Went to downtown New Orleans and eat some good ole Louisiana food!

The real waiting game sits in. Good luck to all of us.

I feel you. I don't ever remember receiving an approval notice from that online tracking thingy. The last time I checked it, Oh lawd.. maybe 2 years ago...it still shows touched though I've been here in the states.

I won't expect to hear anything from them for a very long time.

Hi Simbafuzz,

FYI, my wife just returned from overseas (with her expired GC and extension letter, no I-551 stamp). Upon returning at LAX, she gave the immigration officer her passport and GC. He scanned the GC, took her fingerprints, ask her how long she was gone and welcomed her home. Didn't ask to see the extension letter. I'm assuming that when they scan the GC, it must show on their system that it is under a one year extension. Still good to have the extension letter as backup, but she didn't need it this time.

Enjoy your travels and see you back here when you return!

Hi Greg,

This is good to know. I feel better now. I'm also worried because I am to go back and visit my country in two weeks. Pheew. Thanks for posting this!
