Waiting for police certificate from Malaysia

So my fiance is in Scotland but he lived in Malaysia for over a year so he has to get the certificate from them as well as from the UK. The one from the UK has already gone through but the Malaysia one may take up to two months!! So we're looking at possibly November before we even get the certificate and then another month or so to get the interview?? Is that right? How long is it taking right now to get interviews in London? This process is driving me crazy! I haven't seen my sweetie since April (I know, I'm preaching to the choir) but is there any helpful information anyone can give me to help ease my mind? Does it really take 2 months for Malaysia to send the certificate and how long is it taking to get interviews in London?

It took us a little over a month to receive the certificate of good conduct from KLN. Keep checking your status online and if you submission is over a month, send them an email! This is what I did!

Not sure how many people who read the UK forums will have much knowledge of Malaysian Police Certificates.

We had to get police certificates from a few different places as well. Shockingly - the one that took the longest was from Australia! It took nearly 2 months - even though their site states it will be much faster. We ordered all of our police certificates as soon as we had our NOA2 and the Australia certificate came right after (by a day or so) my fiance received his packet three.

Crazy!!

Crazy!!

My fear is that the NOA2 will expire before he gets the interview b/c of the wait for the certificate. Could that happen? What do we do if that happens?
