I've been using Skype for calling to cellphone and landlines for more than 2 years by now. You just need to sign up and download Skype application, buy credits or unlimited plan, and u can use it. If you and your fiance (e) both have internet connection and computer, you can use video calls from Skype for free. It is so clear and the voice much better. I can call my fiance many hours. rofl.gif

This doesn't answer your question but I am going to suggest something else. MAGICJACK. With Magicjack, you can call any number in the US be it cellphone or homephone unlimited (really) as long as there's an internet connection and power of course. I bought it 2yrs ago, paid $105 for the entire year of 2009, renewed it for half a price every year. Best thing about it is that the person in the US doesn't have to be online for you to talk, can callback the Magicjack and leave a VM free of charge provided that Magicjack is set to the same area code of the caller.

My fiance disconnected his international calling plan and it saved is TONS of money.

If we're talking together online, we use www.oovoo.com for video chat. His camera doesn't work for skype but I use it with other friends that aren' familiar to oovoo.

I use Skype and ooVoo as well. But, my fiance and I decided not to stick to ooVoo because the screen sharing is not free like Skype. We use screen sharing to watch movie or songs together by laptops. Also, there is other video chat called SightSpeed, but you need an high speed internet connection to use it.

If you don't mind to answer my curiousity unsure.gif, can you use MagicJack on phone? I mean, can you call other person use smartphone like Skype on iPhone by Magicjack?

Oh, another thing, Does MagicJack have record conversation like Skype when we call cellphone or landlines use their service? I have record for all calls and I need it for the proof of ongoing relationship

I used to use EnjoyPrepaid calling cards, which offered the best overall rates I could find. Then I switched to their sister company, NobelCom, which gives slightly better prices if you buy a card that's targeted to a country/region, and even landline/cellphone.

Looks like you can get 17-22 cents per minute from US to Guyana - https://www.nobelcom.com/phone-cards/calling-Guyana-from-United-States-1-122.html?

I use the CALL plan(2nd most expensive) because I don't like the maintenance fees or the high rounding of the other plans. But if you talk very frequently and for long times, you could try the HELLO or TALK plans.

If you're interested in trying it out, you can PM me with your email and I can send you a referral worth $5 of free credit.

Ro Damon,

I have never had a problem with the call quality using the black card calling Guyana.

Some times I also use My Guyana Calling card. Great rates and I never had an issue with call quality.
