My fiance and I filed in March, it's been a long and frustrating journey but we finally got my interview date today.

October 26 at 9am will be my day of reckoning! lol

I cried so hard when I finally got the news, text pretty much all of my friends and called my fiances mom before he had a chance too LOL!

So, I need a final checklist of what I need to gather and compile.

All help is appreciated ^_^

K1 Process:

  • I-192F: NoA 1 received - March 15, 2011
  • I-192F: NoA 2 received - July 6 - Approved in 113 Days!
  • Packet 3 received - August 1-ish
  • Medical - August 19
  • Packet 3 completed and returned - August 24
  • Packet 3 logged at Embassy - September 21
  • Interview: Oct 26, 2011 - Approved!
  • PoE: Atlanta - November 08
  • Civil Ceremony - December 29

Time : 7 months, 8 days

Adjustment of Status Process:

  • Filing AoS - February 17, 2012
  • NoA 1 received - February 23
  • Case transferred to CSC - March 20
  • Biometrics appointment - March 26
  • Wedding - April 6th
  • RFE October 15th, have until January to send in information.
  • Sent back information - December 5th
  • APPROVED! - December 22nd!

Time : 10 months, 6 days

Total Duration of journey : 1 year, 9 months, 8 days.

Pay the visa fee so they will email your receipt.

Take the receipt and your interview letter and a way to pay the courier after approval

Read this page very carefully for what else to bring http://london.usembassy.gov/interview_documents.html Don't skim. Read the details. People still show up without the proper birth certificate, even though it is fully explained on that page.

Notice the first paragraph says bring originals and photocopies of documents. They will return your important documents and file the photocopies.

That's it. For London you do NOT need:

USCs birth certificate

NOA2

Copy of the I129F packet

DS-230 part 2

Evidence of your relarionship

Proof of engagement

Photos with your fiance

Your shot record

Another letter saying you intend to marry

It's easy. A very short chat and you're done.
