We crossed at the Windsor/Detroit Ambassador Bridge yesterday morning. They had me put my dog in a cage (which I wasn't a fan of AT ALL) while my fiance and I went inside the building and they checked out our truck (not very thoroughly, didn't want our list either) ... inside, we waited about an hour before they called us up and after that, we were out within about twenty minutes. It wasn't too bad, my only issue was knowing my dog was outside in a wet cage and it was pouring rain. Luckily, after waiting a bit, someone came in and told me I was allowed to put my dog back in the truck and a very nice officer helped me lift him back into it. :)

Glad everything went well for you...except your poor dog, I wouldn't have been happy either!!

I had my cat in a carrier and thy wouldn't let me bring her in. I was so worried. They let my fiance back out to move in to the shade (there were no shady spots when we got there) and we had the windows open but still...I'm glad it wasn't all the hot out.

Aw what a nice welcome your fiance gave you. How sweet of him. I am a bit jealous lol. I've been here for a year now and it still sometimes feels like I'm just visiting.

He was even emailing my best friend to get ideas. I have eaten a couple boxes of KD and a bunch of the candies and chocolate already. It has been a tough week. I got news that my Granny passed away 3 days after I left Ontario. It was expected and I had said my goodbyes to her already before I left, but it is still rough. Then next day, I started feeling a little under the weather (thought it was from the CLR I was using to clean the tub...fiance has hard water and lots lime has built up which bugs me lol), but then I woke up on Friday with a head cold. Stuffy nose and basically feeling just crappy. I slept most of the day away yesterday. Not a good start to my life in America, but I know it will get better :) We are moving into a newly renovated apartment right across the hall from us at the end of the month, so that makes me feel better :) (brand new EVERYTHING including 5 new appliances! So excited!)

My fiance has been very supportive and bought me soup and medicine. <3
