Hello, I am new here. My fiance and I have been using this site for everything, ever since we decided to get engaged. You guys have been very helpful, thank you. However, one thing I can't find info on is, I (the beneficiary) plan to travel to the US. Our petition has been approved and we're still waiting for NVC to receive it (this process is like hell on earth) Anyway, I live in Canada, like 30 minute drive to the border. I have been traveling back and forth for a while now but now that my petition has been approved, I'm scared I'm going to get denied. Is this possible since my case is processing?

Should I bring bills and pay stubs with me? I do plan to return home, I'm just going to be there for the weekend as usual. I've gone through the border so much I know they already know me well.

What do you guys think? Has any one experienced this before?

P.S.

I've tried calling USCIS customer service, and I just keep getting tossed around their stupid automated service. No actual person to talk to. I called during business hours too. So this is why I'm on here.

Yes you can visit the USA.

You need to bring ties to Canada with you such as letter from work expecting you back, utility and rent proof, NOA2 from the petition to show you are going about things the legal way and have to be back for medical and interview.

You shouldn't have problems if they ask show them the NOA2 first explain yours just visiting and have to be back to finish the process.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

i just saw this on another thread.. i will look for the link..

what i understand it is ok, does not affect you going back an forth.. but it would not hurt to have statement from work that you will plan on coming back to you home country.. they may still deny entry.. but most i have seen it was not a problem..

my gf is in Venezuela.. and she has come to see me and i went to see her.. this past year.. and she is coming in dec.. we will probably start the K1 when she leaves.. so i was wondering about the same topic.. but that is the info i have seen..

I also was travelling there frequently and I put all my personal papers from my file cabinet into a binder, with tabs. I have letters in there saying I live and am seen all the time at home in Canada, a copy of my lease, and all my bills, bank account info, medical info, even my cat's medical info. I have presented it to them if they ask for proof of ties and it's all nice and organized.
