Rules might vary from embassy to embassy and country to country. As far as I know food and drinks, elcetronics etc are not allowed in the embassy, in case if you have little kid with you milk and milk formula etc. would be allowed.

Embassy in (Mumbai)India has a little corner which serves basic stuff like sandwichs, chips, soda, water etc.

Hopefully someone who has been to embassy u are going can give you more insight on that particular embassy.

hi that was my concern before...i tried to bring biscuits since im with my 5y/o son, but the security guards are very strict when they do there checks...they really do not allow any food inside but i was able to sneak in some candies and hid inside the pocket of my bag...but mind you even crayons were not allowed inside...because i brought some for my son, and they asked me to leave it to the guards and claim it afterwards...but they were kind when they told me, and they do understand that i have my son with me..but dont worry there are two food stand inside the embassy...they sell hotdog sandwich(but way too expensive,it costs 75php for a hotdog sandwich... duh?!) they also sell some biscuits and drinks there so just bring money with you in case your kids get hungry....and inside there are televisions with disney channel so they can kill time watching...goodluck on your interview...you can do it...

Hi, thank you for sharing. Congratulations on your visa approval ! I wish you very well too. I'm glad they have food stand inside the embassy. You know kids sometimes couldn't wait if they get hungry :) especially we know we have to be there very early morning. As a mom we always think of our kids, haha ! we had same concerns. Anyway, thanks a lot for the nice info. God bless us ! :)
