Fiance lost passport.

My fiance recently lost his passport, and the day after he just got the letter from the embassy saying they received our case. On some forms, he needs to write his passport ID number, and it will be different from the one on previous forms if he does end up getting a new one. Also, in the one he lost, he has stamps from the U.S. that he got when he was here. Our question is, will this effect our process at all? And will these stamps transfer to his passport if he gets a new one?

Progress so far:
October 2008 - First started talking online/webcams.
February 11, 2010 - Engaged!
April 12, 2011 - Sent I-129F
April 25, 2011 - NOA 1
August 25, 2011 - NOA 2 (Exactly 4 months!)
September 2, 2011 - Received by NVC and forwarded to London Embassy
September 20, 2011 - Packet 3 received!
December 12, 2011 - Medical Exam in London.
January 17, 2012 - Interview letter came in mail.
February 14, 2010 - Interview! APPROVED!
February 20, 2012 - Visa in hand.
March 27, 2012 - Port of entry at JFK!
June 14, 2012 - Married! <3
September 25, 2013 - Green card in the mail!

Stamps don't transfer.

It doesn't make a difference to the process. If they ask just tell them it got lost he got a new one.

I had to renew my passport during the process and they didn't even bat an eye at it.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You don't need passport stamps to prove he visited you. London isn't going to ask for further proof of your relationship.
