Montreal medical and interview?

I'm considering booking medicals for myself and my son in Montreal, hopefully on the Monday before my interview. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with either of the two clinics there to help me with who I book with. If I were to book in Toronto, even though I live close, I still need to take time off work, and book a hotel and pay to have the medicals sent to me for my son and I, so I'm looking at being in Montreal on the day before the interview anyway, so what's two more days?

If I do the medical on the Monday, would it really be ready for pickup on the Wednesday? I'm hinging on that being a deal breaker, and don't have the mental ability at the moment to peruse the forums completely for the info I need. (sorry, planning selling my house, moving, marriage and this visa thing as well as finding a replacement at my work is just killing me, so any help appreciated)

I CAN go to Toronto, just trying to do what makes the most sense time wise and financially... this **** is expensive!

Medysis in Montreal takes three business days. i.e. I had my medical exam Wednesday and couldn't pick it up until after two pm on Monday. When you book the interview there, they ask you for your interview date and then they back up your medical interview date accordingly.

If anyone else has a different experience I hope they would share it with you.

It is expensive. It cost us $4000 for everything including travel to Montreal....

I had my medical at Medisys in Montreal and did the same thing, made a vacation of it. The medical was Wednesday and ready for pick up on Monday, my interview was Tuesday. Doesn't hurt to call them to see if they could have it done in time. They told me how much time to allow due to how many medicals they were doing.

Dr. Seiden's took 2 days for me. According to their website it's 2 business days whether you go to the one in Montreal or Toronto: http://www.panelphysicians.com/ There's a Dr. Seiden's in Montreal as well

And yeah, the whole process is %^&*ing expensive... With the filing fees and travel costs it's run me about $3k and I haven't even gathered the $1k for AOS yet... It's going to be a bit more expensive for you since you have a child

Back when I did my medical DR Seiden was charging more than Medisys. That was in 09, not sure if they have changed though. Only payed about $200 for the medical (no extra shots)

I am having no luck getting through to them to book the appointment, I've been trying for days. I've left messages, emailed them, asked them to email me... How long does it take for them to return a call generally?

I was given the number 514-251-9331 and a real live human answers and transfers me to someone's voicemail, so it's maybe a step ahead of the computerized one on the website... but wow, waiting....

If your talking about Dr Seiden, they never responded to me at all ever. I gave up on them after a month of never hearing back from them and numerous calls,msgs and emails. I just went with medisys who answered right away booked me right away, told me everything I needed to bring and were super nice and helpful there.

Damn, I can't afford to do Medysis, I'd have to be there the week before so they could get it to me in time... I can book at Dr Seiden in either Toronto or Montreal, but not if they never call me back

I just went with medisys who answered right away booked me right away, told me everything I needed to bring and were super nice and helpful there.

Just curious in case Dr. Seiden's in Toronto suddenly got a lot slower. Don't have any experience with the Montreal clinics.

I had no problems at all booking my medical once I gave up on Dr. Seiden and booked with Medysis!

i did my medical last year ant it went up alot from that ..i paid 350$ at dr. Seiden. and it was not even on a cd or anything.I called the one in toronto in december and got a january appointment my interview was for march.

I tried to book by email, they gave me a number to call. I keep trying the number but am now trying to see how much MORE expensive it would be to go there the week before to use the other location. If they NEVER get back to me... how will I get my medical?
