NEED HELP.

Hi, is anyone on here that may had the same problem like we do . My fiance sent out the package for the K1 fiancee visa on the 18 of august. Put the g 1145 form in with it. Hasnt recieved any email that the package got there . Unfortunarly after few days , he noticed that there were some papers missing. Called the USCIS and they said the RFE was sent out. 2 weeks later still nothing in the mail. Called again on the 12 september notifying an adress change and getting info on the RFE . They said " we will send you a new one out, Today 18 sept still nothing in the mail.

The personal check was cashed already , but still no RFE or an email, saying that the package was recieved and the RFE sent out. I am freaking out over here. I have read on this website , not to send the missing papers without the RFE beeing attached to it.

So, what should we do know???

I would first check the address you have on file and make sure it is your current address. If nothing has not come in the mail as of yet, I think you an ask them to resend the RFE notice. I remember when I sent my package in I forgot to include the G1145 form and I never got an email/text confirmation even though i filled out the paper work. Although my didnot have an RFE (knock on wood) I still received paper mail confirmation and a case number which i set up on the USCIS website to receive email/text notices. So really what you need is the actual case number that you can register on their website to check statuses. Then you can join the rest of us on your long wait for NOA2 =)

Best of luck!!

Any possibility of checking with occupiers of your previous address to see if anything has turned up?

I can tell you from experience that if you send papers without an RFE there is a good chance they will not be connected with your original petition.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Did check with the occupiers. Nothing showed up. Called the USCIS last week and they said , maybe the RFE got lost, we will send you a new one out. Well that was on the 12th. How long does it take to get mail back by USCIS??? And why was there no email sent out thats sais that the RFE was forwarded to your adress.??

All of this is so weird to me. I dont see any person on here who did not get a confirmation email. The only proove I have that they cashed my check. Thats about it. I know that the RFE has a certain deadline. But what am I supposed to do if it never reaches me and the USCIS just keeps on telling me that we sent it out. ??
