As far as I know NVC will NOT arrange of the appointment schedule for the interview. It is the embassy who will give the date. I was once in your situation but I was lucky that they gave me an earlier date. They scheduled my interview around September 2011 wherein we got our NOA2 in April. I didn't stop sending them emails and faxes since May till June. Finally, they gave me a date earlier than September which was July 31. Now, I am currently in US. I would suggest you send an email to the embassy and also ask your fiancee to send one. That is what we did.

The OP is not a K-1 so it is indeed the NVC that sets the interview for the embassy.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

They told me the same line of ####### yesterday. They said my case is completed and closed but that they contacted the embassy and were told no interview dates left for October. I personally know this to be a line of ####### because I have spoken with the embassy and there is plenty of availability. Our country processes very few applications each month.

When I questioned the NVC operator about this she said they will only try to schedule the interviews the 1st and 2nd week of the month. So it sounds more like NVC only doing the scheduling the 1st and 2nd week NOT the embassies. She recommended for me to contact the embassy via email to give them my info and notify them that my case is closed and request for a October date. If a date is available the embassy will contact NVC for us and request our package be sent to them. I am going to do this today! Each time I have asked the embassy a question they have responded super fast so here goes nothing... Praying for the best!

What a bunch of BS.. Tbilisi Consulate has no backlog.......
