I dont think lawyer has the power to marry two ppl. (I could be wrong but someone can correct)

If you looking fore the shortcut, then instead of lawyer I think you need a priest and he can marry 2 ppl by powers vested in him by state.

Short cut is getting a criminal court judge to marry you or a funeral director to marry you. (yes i know someone who was legally married by a funeral director.)

Unless the lawyer did an internet program to become a minister i don't think they can legally marry you. My aunt did this program so that she could legally marry her daughter because they didn't want a pastor/priest.

Most states require witness or it is not legal.

You don't say where you got married though.

A marriage in the USA without witness . Just the lawyer, bride and groom who signed the papers. Is it legal?please

Depends on the state. In Vermont, yes. Provided the officiant also signs the certificate.

You will need an official, stamped marriage certificate from the issuing authority in your state to file for AOS, if you get that, then yes it is legal

We were married by a JP. In Vermont, anyone can be a JP simply by registering as one. Our small town had 6 JP's. A lawyer could be a JP.

Call the Clerk of Court in your area. They will be able to tell you who has to sign.

You are also not being very clear. Did you have a ceremony already? Have you signed marriage application papers already and are just needing to submit the recording of the marriage? It would help if you gave better details, but regardless the clerk of court can answer.

You will need witness, most likely 3-4 witness.

NOT TRUE

I was married by a JP (Justice of the Peace), in his home, and his wife was the sole witness.

But as said already, check the laws of the state in which you wish to marry. In Alaska, I can have ANYONE marry us, so I plan to have one of my friends do it, and have her husband be the witness.
